In 1914 Aunt Kate and Aunt Belle MacDonald, dau of John Malcolm MacDonald b. 1825 in Scotland went back to Boston to visit cousins. One of their father's sisters, Tillie MacDonald married a McClellan in Boston and her daughter Ada McClellan married a Babineau. In 1941 they lived at 25 Edward St., Medford, Mass. Tillie McClellan worked at Jordan Marsh dept. store.
Another cousin, Murdock MacDonald lived at 32 Audubon Row, near Harvard and worked at Jordan Marsh as manager of furniture dept. His sister Margaret MacDonald died of spinal meningitis in 1914.
We would love to find some family connections. The John Malcolm MacDonald branch has lived in Wa. state since 1850 and were first cousins with McClellan's and MacDonald in Boston area having all lived in Roxbury in the 1840's.
