Anna,
the first Babin in Canada, Acadia,was Antoine
Babin married abt 1662 to Marie Mercier.
Their son Charles married abt 1686 to
Madeleine Richard.Their oldest son Rene married Isabelle (Gautrot)Gautreau.One of their sons, Pierre,born 26 may 1735 in Grand Pre, N.S.married on 22 feb 1759, Madeleine
Bourque.Most Acadians are descendants from
this family line.
