You will find, among others, the Babine and Babineau, Babineaux geneology sites helpful in your search. There were many Babinecz's (and other minor spelling variations) that came from Hungary, Russia, Slovenia areas in the 1900's interesting. These can be found at the Ellis Island Site. There is also a Abrahm (Abraham) Babin that came from Palestine. Most of the Babin in Maine spell the name Babine. You will also find them in Bath, Maine.
