SIMON AYCOCK, father of Burrel Aycock, Wayne, NC
Posted by: Alice Braud-Jones (ID *****1049) Date: December 26, 2008 at 06:23:27
  of 714

Descendants of Simon Aycock,(father of Burrel Aycock), and who died in Wayne, NC in about 1815 (Inventory of Estate of Simon Aycock, dated 20 Feb 1816) will be pleased to learn that the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) have accepted recently discovered proofs forwarded by this author, and approved Simon Aycock's service as a Revolutionary Patriot and added him as a new patriot to their database as of 08 December 2008. This opens the door for all female descendants of SIMON AYCOCK, father of Burrel Aycock (who served as a Captain in the war of 1812 in Louisiana), to join the DAR based upon their proof of direct lineal descent to Simon Aycock via son Burrel. This lineage was discussed at length in the book "The Louisiana Descendants of Simon Aycock" by Albert Lovency Aycock. You may contact me by email as listed above for more information in this regard.
