I am looking for more information about the family of the George Austin b 1796 in TN and wife Barbary b 1806 NC.
On the 1850 census of Hancock/ later Winston Co, AL this family had children Elizabeth age 14 TN, Emiline 17 TN, Carolina 10 AL, James 6 AL, Stephen 3 AL.
Next door is son, George Austin b 1825 TN, and wife, Sabilene, or Sabilla Speegle Austin b 1826 TN, child Sarah age 1 AL.
In 1860 census of Marion Co, TN , Sist 13, Running Water PO, the younger George Austin 37 is a Railroad laborer, b TN, Sevellah Austin 33 AL, Sarah Ann 10 AL, Nancy M. Austin 7 born in Missouri!.
I am searching for these Austins, hoping it will help me to find the parents of my John Calhoun Austin b TN in 1831,who lived in the same neighborhood in Winston Co, AL, but in 1880. He was in Morgan Co, AL (next county) from 1855 to 1880. His parents were born in SC. He also named a child George.
