Isaac W. Austin was born in Rome, Oneida Co., NY, Oct. 11th, 1815. He was married in 1836 to MARY ANNE CLARK of Darien, NY. His present wife was MARGARET HINCK, daughter of Henry and Hannah Smith. Mr. Austin came from Rome, NY to Darien, NY, and in 1837 from there to Cowlesville, NY. His father, John W. Austin, was born in Rhode Island in 1788; removed to Oneida Co.,NY, where he died at the age of Seventy-six. Henry Smith, Mrs. Austin's father, came to Genesee Co., NY at an early day from Kinderhook, NY.
