Elbridge Austin was born in Attica, Wyoming Co., NY, in 1837. He has always been a farmer. In 1858 he rented his father's farm,and in 1860 that where he now lives, and bought it in 1863. He was married in 1858 to BERTHA FILKINS, daughter of David & Roxy Filkins of Attica, NY, who died in 1873. In 1877, he married KITTIE PHELPS, daughter of Isaac Phelps of Le Roy, Genesee Co.,NY
