THE BIG PAYNE BOOK
John Payne is pleased to announce that his long-awaited THE BIG PAYNE BOOK will be available in October. It will be over 700 pages long, with 54 photos included. The cost of the book will be $36.00 plus $6.00 for shipping and handling.
The first chapter is an essay on the history of our Payne family, which runs nearly a hundred pages. This concerns the history of the Payne family, focusing on the six sons of John and Frances Coleman Paine of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Subsequent chapters will deal with the nine children of Robert and Rachel Lord Paine who had children, namely, Daniel and Nancy Payne, Catherine and Samuel Austin, Frances and William Fox, Katie and Moses Teague, Temperance and Elijah Austin, Rachel and James Payne, Elizabeth and Edward Teague, John and Mary Bradburn Paine, and Robert Payne and Mary Baker and Nancy McMahan.
