Robert E. Astin was the brother (I believe he was a half-brother) of my great-grandmother, Georgia Alabama (Balmar) Aston of Poinsett County, AR.
Samuel C. Aston and his wife Marthie E. Aston are buried at Farm Hill Cemetery south of Harrisburg (Poinsett County) Arkansas. After the death of Marthie E. Aston, I believe that Samuel C. Aston married Mary Coleman (court records), and that their children were a daughter, Georgia Alabama (Balmar) Aston, and a son,Garland.
According to Poinsett County, Arkansas probate records, Robert E. Astin was the guardian of Balmar and Garland Aston after the death of their father Samuel C. Aston. Balmar married Robert Jackson Faulkner, and they are my great-grandparents.
