Robert E. Astin was the brother (I believe he was a half-brother) of my great-grandmother, Georgia Alabama (Balmar) Aston, who married Robert Jackson Faulkner in Cross County, AR, and died about 1904. She is buried at Farm Hill Cemetery south of Harrisburg (Poinsett County), Arkansas, although I have not found her gravemarker. According to probate court records of Poinsett County, AR, Robert E. Astin became the guardian of younger siblings Balmar and Garland Aston after the death of their father Samuel Aston. Robert Jackson Faulkner petitioned to become guardian of Balmar & Garland. Robert Jackson Faulkner and Georgia Alabama (Balmar) Aston married and were the parents of my grandmother, Essie Marie Faulkner b. 1898 (listed as Essie Annie in the 1900 census of Poinsett County)and other children Donald and Nona? I believe that after Marthie Aston died, Samuel Aston married Mary Coleman, who I believe to be the mother of Georgia Alabama (Balmar) and Garland Aston. I think that Garland moved to the west coast, perhaps to California. Do you have any information that can confirm Mary Coleman on this line? Would like to trace the Aston line and Mary Coleman's line, if indeed she was the mother of Georgia Alabama (Balmar) Aston. Would like to correspond with other Aston descendants.
