Hi Thomas, Mary Ann (Polly) Astin and Emanuel Parker were my g.g.g.g.grandparents. Emanuel died in Green Co., GA November 9, 1851. Their children were: Wylie Astin Parker, b. Sep 17, 1810; Robert Foster Parker b. Oct 21, 1812 (my g.g.g.grandfather); Nancy Jane Parker b. 1814; Susan Jane Parker, born 1817; Sarah Parker b. 1821; Frances Parker, born 1824; Jeptha Franklin Parker b. 1828 (also known as James Franklin); and Mary Mapp Parker b. abt 1829. After Emanuel's death in 1851, Mary (Polly) and all of the children and their families, with the exception of Mary Mapp Parker and her husband Joseph Franklin Nelson, went to Texas, settling in Rusk County. I am looking for more information on Emanuel or Mary (Polly) Astin. I believe Emanuel's parents were Stephen Parker and Ann Brewer. Emanuel was born in NC.
