I'm looking for ancestors and family lines for my gr.grandfather's family.
My ggrandfather Martin Orlando Arnesen b. 23 Dec. 1864 in Lom, Gulbrandsdalen, Norway; married Anna Esse 12 July 1908 in Hayward, MN; d. 13 Dec. 1951
His parents were Ole Arnson(sen) b. 1 Oct. 1829; married Maria/Mary Erlandson (b. 28 Aug. 1834, d. 4 Dec. 1909); d. 15 Sept. 1917
Ole's parents were Arne Christopher and Julia Roan, both from Lom, Gulbrandsdalen, Norway.
Ole and Mary had 12 children apparently. I have record of only eleven.
I have no idea how many children Arne and Julia had, or what their vital statistics are (birth, death, marriage).
Ole, Mary and eldest child Alef came to the states in 1864. They seem to have gone from New York, to Wisconsin to South Dakota. My great-grandfather came from SD to Canada in 1905 - the only one of his family up here. He seems to be the only child spelling his name Arnesen. Others in the family seem to spell it Arneson according to relatives in the US.
I have information I'm willing to share regarding the 11 children of Ole and Mary that I have to date.
