Jackie. No, none of the family came from Mexico. They may have traveled to Mexico, but did not come from there. The original Arellanes was Arellano, from Spain. He setteled in Santa Clara as one of the founders of the Santa Clara Mission. His son, Teodoro was born in Santa Clara, then moved to Santa Barbara. The family later moved to Salinas in the Monterey County area. No connection there :(
