Would like to correspond with descendants of the following:

Giles S. Appleton, b. -- Deering, NH
Jane Gove, b. 9 Nov., 1811, dau. of Jonathan & Mary (Goodale) Gove of Deering, NH
They were m.
Children:
1. George Cleaves, b. --. He was a conductor on the Burlington & Vermont railroad between Burlington and Rouse's Point, NY. He was a ticket agent in St. Albans, Vt.
2. Giles Franklin, b. --. He was a student at the Naval Academy at Annapolis.
When the Civil War broke, he left school without graduating, and went to Burlington, Vt. and entered the U. S. Army. He was Captain of a company in the 10th Vermont Volunteers. After the war he served as a midshipman and spent 34
years in the U. S. Navy. He had been captain of a steamboat on Lake Champlain. In 1872, he was living in Burlington, Vt. where he kept a livery stable.
3. Horace, b. Deering, NH, 28 June, 1814. He m. 18 March, 1841 Sarah Forestial of Deering, NH where they lived.

Giles was a farmer and subsequently conducted a hotel in Chester, Vt. He was then a railroad conductor and ticket agent working from Burlington, Vt. Jane d. in Chester, Vt., 1843. Giles m. 2nd, Ellen Mallory. She d. Dec., 1870.
