The following information is from the Archives of Fairfax County, Virginia.

On 25 June 1773, John Appleton of Fairfax County, VA leased 112 1/2 acres from William Fitzhugh of Stafford County VA. The land was in Fairfax County, Paish of Truro in an area called Ravensworth. The land was next to that of a Shelton and my ancestor, Benoni Kent. This is a three-lives lease in the name of John Appleton, wife Eleanor and daughter Mary. The lease was to continue as long as one of the three was still alive.

I would be interested in connecting with any descendants of this John Appleton to see if there are any Appleton-Kent marriages.
