Wilhelm Anker was born in Ins, Bern State, 16 March 1827 (he was baptised on the 25 March 1827). I have a copy of his baptism record and deposited a copy at Mont De Lancey; I could email you a copy (and german and english translations also). One of our sons is living in Bern and could do some research for us.
Ins is about twenty km from Bern and Switzerlands most famous painter Albert Anker, born 1 April 1831, also comes from there. W and J are possibly brothers or cousins of A; there were few Ankers living in Ins at that time. Have not established the relationship yet. Many of As paintings feature family as models maybe W or J are there,
