I have the "Castro" name in my family. Also, if you go to this site,"Yahoo, Group Ranchos", you will find a Spanish group composed of only people researching their hispanic roots from three prominant areas of Mexico that the original spanish imigrants primarily settled. They will share their information, and everything is free to access after you join the club. Membership is free, and only requires you filling out a request form on-line and being willing to share your genealogy with other members. I have found several links to my family here. As I understand it, the Castro families are scattered throughout Mexico, and many of them in the Zacatecas areas. Saturnino Alvarez is a name I have in my Alvarez line. However, he is not from Spain, but Mexico.
