Schenectady -- Manuel Alvarez, 95, formerly of Davis Terrace, died Wednesday at Glendale Nursing Home.
Born in LaLinia, Spain on June 12, 1907, immigrated to New York City when he was 17, moved to Schenectady in the 1920s.
Married Anna Torelli Alvarez Sept. 20, 1930. She died Aug. 28, 1998.
Survivors include his three sons, Manuel Alvarez, Jr. of Waldwick, NJ, James Alvarez, and John Alvarez, all of Schenectady.
N. Rossi and Sons Funeral Home.
St. John the Evangelist Church.
Interment at Memory's Garden, Colonie.
