I am sorry but I don't think there's a connection. My Father Saturnino Alvarez was born in Puerto Rico November 28, 1925 and funny as it seems he also married an Italian, Carol Lenoe my mother. As far as I know we didn't have any Castro in our family but then again I don't realy know a lot about my fathers family, he never talked much about them and we didn't live near any of the family. The only thing I do know is that his Mother's name was Ramona and she died of tuberculoses when he was a teenager. If I do come across any information that my help you, I will write you back.
