My grandfather was Saverio Altomari from Calabria. He married my grandmother in San Francisco and had 6 children between 1908 and 1920(my mother being one of them).
From what I understand he had another family in Italy and wrote often to his son. If J P Garafolo who posted a message back in 2001 sees this, please contact me.
