The Altomares lived in Butler County, PA in a small place called Argentine. Most of the children who were born before 1920 were born there. From what I can see, they were still there in 1920. There was a Giuseppe son born in Italy September 30, 1902 and died December 06, 1905--then the Giuseppe (Joe Altomare) was born in Italy in 1906--he came over with Teresa, his mother. There was also a Salvatore born in Argentine, PA January 29, 1910 and died there August 14, 1910. Later there was another Salvatore born with the name, Saverio Salvatore Altomare, and we knew him as uncle Sammy.
In total there were at least 12 children born alive, several my grandmother, Mico told me may have been lost in between.
