Looking for birth or marriage records/information for Effie Adams, daughter of William Adams (of Massachusetts according to her censuses) and Florence McDonald (of Prince Edward Island.)
Effie's marriage license says she was born in Portsmouth, NH. Her father died when she was young, and within 6-7 years, her mother Florence remarried a James Lowrie.
In 1880, the family was living in Kittery, Maine. (Kittery and Portsmouth share the harbor. James was a marine, and William may have been a sailor.)
I have been unable to locate a birth record for Effie, b. 22 May 1871, or the marriage records for William Adams and Florence McDonald, or James Lowrie and Florence McDonald. I also have been unable to find death information for her father.
Any information or help is greatly appreciated.
