William Bates Christian & Effie Adams, 1903/04/Oklahoma/Texas

Trying to hurdle a brick wall with Effie Adams. She was supposedly married to William Bates Christian in either Oklahoma or Texas in or around 1901-1904. Family tradition holds that she dies in childbirth on 15 May 1903 but no one is sure whether it was in Oklahoma or Texas. The child's name was Verda Lou. If anyone could give even a hint as to which direction to go, it would be greatly appreciated.
