Thank you so much for your answer to my message. The census sheet I have seen was blurred in places and it did make Rachel look like she was 42 instead of 12. Richard Bennett and Sarah "Sallie" Adams were married July 6, 1853 in Henry Co., KY., Sallie Adams age was 44 widowed Born Henry Co., KY., and Richard Bennett age 40 Widowed Born VA.. The problem we are having is Nancy O. marriage bond to Andrew J. Vest gives her last name as Bennett and signed by Richard Bennett. On the census Nancy is listed as an Adams. {Have copies of both marriages from the Henry Co., kY Courthouse in 1982 but they are no longer housed there.} If Nancy was not a Bennett who was her father? Also why if Sallie was married to Richard the younger children were put out in other homes in 1870 census? The Bennett family say Nancy O. was not a Bennett. This is why I am doing a new research. We just want to know who her parents really were. Also the "O" in Nancy's name may stand for O'nan or Onan. Sarah "Sally" Adams, Bennett may have been a "MORGAN". Thanks again for your help.
