My great-grandfather's headstone is located in Philipsburg Cemetery in California, PA. I am looking for help in translating the inscriptions: it is an old three pronged cross. 'Line 1': ADAM JANOS ('S' BACKWARDS) 'Line 2': SZ (BACKWARDS) ÜLLET 187? - (July 1879 my guess) 'Line 3': M E C H A LT At the bottom is his death year of 1921. With a little digging, we uncovered another inscription at the base that left us thoroughly confused: 6H12. We have no idea what his death date is and think that strange inscription holds some clue. It is written as follows: 1921 6H12 The 'ones' are of the same tool along with the 'twos'. The 6H is where I need some help along with the meaning of 'Line 3'. Regards..
