James Adam, Scotland to Prince Edward Island
Posted by: George Sanborn (ID *****2881) Date: February 16, 2007 at 17:34:00

Trying to find parents and place/date of birth of James Adam. He was born in Scotland, probably in the 1760s, and first appeared in Prince Edward Island, Canada, in 1791. He seems to have emigrated alone. We suspect he was from the West Coast, perhaps Argyllshire or Ayrshire, as he came to an area that had been settled by people mostly from those two counties in Scotland. His children's names were: Elizabeth; James; William; David; Charles; Ann; Charlotte; and Isabella. Perhaps they will be a clue to help us find where our James belongs. Many thanks for any assistance or suggestions.
