Regarding your James Abercrombie born 1709: (1) I am not aware of any documented support produced by anyone that said James was born in 1709. (2) This early James Abercrombie was NOT married to Hannah Pickard. She was the first wife of his son James born 1740. (3) The Chryste Abercrombie that married Martin Dial was the niece of the older Chryste Abercrombie. (4) James born 1740 was the brother of the older Chryste Abercrombie.
