The James and Robert Abercrombie were likely cousins at best. Neither come from your cited royal lines compiled by others. Specifically, James Abercrombie referred to as a son of this family never married, served in the military in Russia and died without any issue. See Burke's. The trouble is 99% of these royal lines are correct except that OUR James abercrombie was not born into this line...period. And neither was Robert Abercrombie as mentioned above. Some of our cousins have taken a giant leap to connect James and Robert to these royal lines, but the documentation just isn't there (Burke's, etc.) Looks great on paper with beautiful photographs, etc., but these James and Robert Abercrombie royal lineages are myths!
