Does anyone know of an Abercrombie who lived in or around the Fayetteville, NC area around 50 years ago (1958-ish)? My huband's father was adopted around this time from an Abercrombie. My husband's grandmother has done quite well keeping it all a big secret, but someone stumbled upon a paper showing he was born in Fayetteville to an Abercrombie who lived on Base (Fort Bragg I think). We would love more information if anyone has some to offer.
