Probably concentrate on the Abercrombie families located in Laurens, SC. area prior to 1820. They migrated from the northern states/areas...NOT from the SC coastline. I am not aware of ANY documented and/or proven connection of the "myth" that these Abercrombie families descend from the Sir Alexander Abercrombie & Elizabeth Baird line.
